Nancy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University, a Certificate of Leadership from Dalhousie University and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a registered psychotherapist and a professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
Nancy was a police officer for 26 years in the City of Peterborough and has experienced firsthand the stress, anxiety and demands of working in the field of emergency services.
Nancy brings an empathetic and compassionate understanding to client’s life challenges that is grounded in lived experiences and theoretical approaches. Working primarily from a client-centred approach, Nancy will provide a safe environment for self-exploration. Nancy also provides a cognitive behavioural approach in understanding how an individual’s thoughts impact their feelings and behaviours.
Nancy is also excited o incorporate Neuroptimal Neurofeedback in her practice.
